Illinois- Certified Asset Recovery Specialist (CARS) Program
The Illinois Edition of the C.A.R.S. National Certification Program has been approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) for both the Recovery Manager license and “E”, Repossessor license.
The ICC is responsible for enforcement of the Illinois Collateral Recovery Act which regulates the licensure and activities of collateral recovery specialists in Illinois. The C.A.R.S. final examination consists of 125 questions which includes 25 questions on the Illinois Collateral Recovery Act and the Adopted Final Rules. A final score of 75% correct answers on the final exam is required for a Certificate of Completion to be issued to the applicant.
